What is healthy lifestyle?

By Heba Mohammed

Healthy lifestyle means living healthy, living longer by eating in right way and doing exercises or some activities. Also it’s critical to the future of our nation. A healthier lifestyle is determined through balanced priorities, strong mental health, and good role models. The reason that lead me to write about it, is that in recent days’, people doesn’t focus on this topic. As a result, several diseases are starting to show up such as, obesity, overweight, diabetes and heart attack etc. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), at least 2.8 million people die every year for being overweight or obese. So people doesn't care about what do they are eating and doing in their life. In UAE adults should think and try to change their bad lifestyle to a good lifestyle. While parents should help to prevent from this problem by encouraging their children to go play sports, eat fruit and vegetables, choose the water as a drink, eat fewer snakes and select alternatives. which means having a good routine in their life. According to status of physical education in the USA, only 6 states (Illinois, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York and Vermont) require physical education in every grade, K-12. So, why UAE is not one of these countries or is it hard to make this change! Well we can be one of them but we need a support from the country it self and people around us. Additionally, to live a healthy lifestyle the person should be determined and we are the new generation. Which means if we raise awareness about this topic everyone will live in a healthy lifestyle.
